7th October, 2021/ EPP BLODY PLATEAU
Valery Atta (Headteacher of Plateau School)
We planted cedrela and other plants. I don’t know all their names but we are all excited because we can’t wait for them to grow and produce shades for our children to rest or learn under when they get tired from running around and playing all over the compound. Trees are always a good idea.
Student Interview 1:
Issiaka Ramdé (12years), Class 6.
I like trees. You can use them as a shade, you can use them to treat many sicknesses and if you plant many of them, you can make a forest and it will attract the rain. My favorite tree is the pawpaw tree because I like pawpaw. Pawpaws are sweet.
Student Interview 2:
Konan N’dri Oceane (10 years old) Class 5.
I can’t climb a tree. I am afraid I will fall down so when I see a fruit I like, I would rather use a stick but if the stick is too short, I call my dad to get it for me. I want a pawpaw tree in my house. We already have an orange tree, and oranges are my favorite fruit. Oranges are only bitter when they are not fully ripe.
Today is my first time planting a tree, and I can do it all by myself because I just learnt to do it. To plant the tree, I will dig a hole, put the plant inside the hole, fill the hole with the sand, pour water on it, and then protect it so the animals can’t chew it. You see, it is not difficult to plant a tree.
