Last year, Barry Callebaut gave us money. I bought 2 sheep with mine. My plan is to have a sheep farm.
The trainings I have received from Barry Callebaut have also helped me extensively. I used to make 1.5 metric tonnes from my farm. Today, I am able to make 2 metric tonnes from the same farm. Things are much better now. The fertilizers I received have helped immensely. I think that and the pruning also but I struggle to prune myself nowadays. I have two workers but I can’t afford to add some more. I also got shade tree seedlings to plant on my farm. I planted them eagerly because I was told it will help me harvest more in the future.

Even though I have been farming for many years, I will admit I really didn’t know how to prune properly but the coaches taught me, and now I can do it the right way.

I want to say thank you to Barry Callebaut. The trainings have been very beneficial. I will be happy if I can get more fertilizers and insecticides.
I appreciate the education they give us on Child Labour. I have never used kids on my farm but the training is important because other people may still be doing it. All my children go to school. I like sharing the knowledge I receive from Barry Callebaut with my brothers and friends. None of my four children have expressed interest yet in farming. They are busy in school, and I think children cannot do both. They can’t go to school and farm at the same time. I am happy they like school. I just want them to succeed in life.
