I have been farming since 1995 but became acquainted with Barry Callebaut in 2019. Their training has really helped change my farm.
My farm wasn’t producing enough to even feed my family. I used to harvest only one bag (70kg) from a one and half hectare farm. Since planting the shade trees, now I harvest twice as much as I used to. In fact, things used to be so bad that my first wife left me because we were always broke. She took two of our children and just left. Now I have more money, and I can take care of my family well. My new wife is very happy. She’s even pregnant as we speak. I am a happy man now. I have even invested in a rubber farm too. SACO is the main place I get all my advice on Cocoa farming from, and for that, I am very grateful. Thanks to SACO, I am a happy man now.
